His technical knowledge flourished and within months he found himself promoted to the role of edit and sound assistant. He has been known to quote the lyrics of seminal rapper Vanilla Ice while working - 'if you've got a problem, yo I'll solve it'. But he is actually quite nice and normal.

Creatively, Jamie's skills lie in sound editing, design and mixing and his personal work saw him scoop first prize in the creative division of Submerge digital media festival in July 2005. He also received a similar accolade for best sound design at the West of England's annual awards ceremony in the same month.

Away from work he almost permanently has his ears buried in one project or another, having just completed full sound services on a number of short films.

Clients often comment on the quality of Jamie's 'builders tea' making skills; delivered with a timing that only a highly developed sixth sense can achieve.
