Playing with Tradition
Playing with Tradition is a series of oriental rugs by Dutch designer Richard Hutten, where the traditional patterns are stretched into stripes. The traditional ends of the rugs retain their decorative fringes while the contemporary sides have been cut off cleanly.

Thanks for posting these Iain, I really like the playfulness of them and the attention to detail of cutting off the fringe on the edge of the modern end of the rug. Loving it.
