Sushi roller

How cool is this sushi roller from German based studio Osko + Deichmann. Works on the same principle as those roll-your-own tobacco machines.

Plató Restaurant

FFWD architects have designed the interior for the Plató restaurant in Barcelona, creating a dynamic, ever changing space where hanging translucent panels can be moved around to alter the layout in the dining area and lighting modified to create the right atmosphere depending on different needs.

Plato Restaurant

A huge light wall supported with a variable colour light system runs along the bar, generating different colour atmospheres, reinforcing the ever-changing effect.

Altogether, it looks worth checking out, provided the food lives up to the environment.

I thought I would share this recipe for a rhubarb and custard flavour smoothie that I randomly made up this morning whilst rustling up my regular morning fruit fix. Curiously it contains neither rhubarb or custard…! It is, however, rich in health giving antioxidants and wonderfully delicious.

Ingredients as follows:

  • 1 apple
  • 1 mango
  • 1 orange
  • 1 tablespoon of pomegranate seeds
  • A handful of frozen raspberries and blueberries
  • 2 tablespoons of natural yoghurt
  • a dash of vanilla
  • honey to taste

Put all the ingredients into a blender (the L’Equip Model 228 R.P.M. is my blender of choice), blend, pour and enjoy.
