Let the issues be the issue

This brilliant poster, portraying White House candidates Barack Obama and John McCain with their skin colours switched, has been put up around Manhattan on the eve of the US presidential election.

Produced by NYC based advertising agency, Grey, it is a perfect example of the power of simplicity in getting a message across.

Tor Myhren, Grey’s New York Chief Creative Officer, said, “We hope people will cast their votes based on the candidates’ policies and ignore their racial differences.”

“Wolfgang Bloch sees waves everywhere—in the ocean, in the grain of wood, in the core of a surfboard that he has sawed in two. Using all of these different media, Bloch creates simple, evocative paintings that transform ocean waves into otherworldly compositions of color and shape.”
