Reprieve

Reprieve is an organisation founded by human rights lawyer Clive Stafford Smith in 1999 to represent prisoners facing execution at the hands of the state in the conventional criminal justice system, or those subject to imprisonment outside the reach of the law in the ‘war on terror’.

This is Real Art have rebranded the organisation with a visual identity based on the look of official forms, in reference to the government bureaucracy that Reprieve lawyers have to deal with.

The rubber stamp logo comes, says TiRA’s creative director Paul Belford, “from the fact that a reprieve requires an official stamp of approval.”
