The Honda PUYO is a concept fuel cell vehicle with a cornerless, ‘seamless soft box’ form and a soft and silky interior offering the impression that is kind to both people and the environment. PUYO is an a Japanese onomatopoeia that conveys warmth and friendliness.
The goal was to create a personable design with the feel of an adorable pet, while taking advantage of the maximum spaciousness of the box-shaped design. Futhermore, the car’s luminescent ‘gel body’ features soft materials to promote greater real-world safety.
(It’s also old news as it appeared at the Tokyo 2007 motor show and I would have blogged about it then had I seen it but I missed it..!)
