In a time where music no longer has a place of material inhabitance, the ability to touch and hold an object whose sole purpose is to make a self-generative sound is almost a luxury. And in the age of media on demand, the restriction of having to listen to the same nine loops for hundreds of hours gives the mind discipline and focus.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
Beijing-based duo Christiaan Virant and Zhang Jian, aka FM3, have produced version two of their Buddha Machine, with nine new loops, three new colours and pitch bend control.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":[],"categories":[2,6,17],"tags":[],"post_mailing_queue_ids":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.iainclaridge.co.uk\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/1059"}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.iainclaridge.co.uk\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.iainclaridge.co.uk\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.iainclaridge.co.uk\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/1"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.iainclaridge.co.uk\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=1059"}],"version-history":[{"count":1,"href":"https:\/\/www.iainclaridge.co.uk\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/1059\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":45675,"href":"https:\/\/www.iainclaridge.co.uk\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/1059\/revisions\/45675"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.iainclaridge.co.uk\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=1059"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.iainclaridge.co.uk\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=1059"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.iainclaridge.co.uk\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=1059"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
