{"id":32873,"date":"2013-06-24T17:04:53","date_gmt":"2013-06-24T16:04:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.iainclaridge.co.uk\/blog\/?p=32873"},"modified":"2013-06-24T17:06:20","modified_gmt":"2013-06-24T16:06:20","slug":"watershed-dark-matter","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.iainclaridge.co.uk\/blog\/32873","title":{"rendered":"Watershed: Dark Matter"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-32874\" alt=\"Watershed: Dark Matter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.iainclaridge.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/watershed.jpg\" width=\"470\" height=\"704\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Designers\u00a0<a title=\"L-ABLE\" href=\"http:\/\/www.l-able.net\/\" target=\"_blank\">L-ABLE<\/a> (Pamela Campagna + Thomas Scheiderbauer) and QB (Carla Palladino + Ed Testa) designed this poster for\u00a0Intramoenia Extrart\u2013Eclettica cultura dell\u2019arte,\u00a0for Watershed: a multidisciplinary project articulated in a series of artistic events, exhibitions, residencies, and cultural exchanges between the north and south of Europe.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Pamela Campagna on Behance\" href=\"http:\/\/www.behance.net\/gallery\/WATERSHED-part-1-DARK-MATTER\/4379635\" target=\"_blank\">Dark Matter<\/a>, an installation alluding to environmental disasters, is the first specific visual created for Dutch architect and artist Maurice Nio, of the studio NIO architecten.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;We thought of interpreting this poster as an environmental disaster, similar to that of a shoreline devastated by an oil spill. The poster was technically realized with a stencil of the logo created with a laser cut on a metal sheet. The sheet was then moulded onto fresh clay, thus removing it, creating a 3D effect. We poured black nail polish on the lines and letters, and that\u2019s it!
