NASA and General Motors have collaborated on a humanoid robot designed for space travel. Robonaut2 (nicknamed R2) is a 300-pound robot consisting of a head and a torso with two arms and two hands.
For me there is something unconvincing about it. With it’s Daft Punk helmet and pumped up biceps it looks like an exercise in style over substance — a bit of an R2 without the D2.
I am guessing that, in space, no one can hear a GM recall..! ;)
