According to designer Duncan Wilson, “Every object and surface in our environment has a whisper; subtle tremors and vibrations that are usually undetectable to the human ear, produced by the activity and movement of daily life.”
In collaboration with Manolis Kelaidis of IDE at the Royal College of Art, he has developed Otto (Greek for ‘ear’) to give you a glimpse into these secret whispers. Using suction cups and magnets to latch on to objects, Otto will amplify hidden sounds into new forms of sonic experience and create ambient music for your listening pleasure.
