The Borealis lamp-shade, designed by Liam Hopkins and Richard Sweeney for Lazerian studio, is part of a series of lights which were the result of experiments with computer design and CNC manufacture. Each Borealis lampshade comprises machine cut components, which are assembled and finished by hand.
