The lamp shown above, by designer David Taylor, is formed from three tubes, one folded and clamped together by a found plastic component to form a tripod. The shade is plastic, cannibalised from a fleamarket and houses a dimmable LED unit.
It is typical of the applied art objects and short series pieces designed by David for private collectors, museums and institutional collections, in his workshop and studio at MADE BY: in the Birkastan district of Stockholm, where he blends his curious and eclectic mix of exquisite silversmithing, junk aesthetics and elegance.
