In 1927 Florence Henri studied at the Bauhaus in Dessau. She lived in the house of Laszlo and Lucia Moholy-Nagy and started to take her first important photographs. Returning to Paris, she brought the most modern furniture of her time: A group of the very first examples of the just invented furniture in tubular steel by Marcel Breuer. A photograph taken in the end of 1927 in her Paris flat shows her proudly among her prominent artist friends. Robert and Sonja Delaunay are sitting next to Jean Arp and Sophie Taeuber-Arp on chairs and at the Breuer table. Florence Henri also used the Breuer furniture in many of her famous mirror photographs as an element of her artistic composition. Source Ulrich Fiedler.
