Anni Albers jewellery

During WW II, when materials were in short supply, Anni Albers invented ways to create elegant items of jewellery using simple components found in the household, in hardware shops and stationery stores. Shown here are Strainer and Paper Clips, Bobby Pin and Ball Chain, Petite Washers and Ribbon, designed c.1940 with student Alex Reed at Black Mountain College and inspired by the Columbian Jewellery of Monte Albàn. © The Josef and Anni Albers Foundation.

Via design is fine.
