Heuer Mareographe

Heuer Mareographe

Heuer Ref 2444 Mareographe chronograph in stainless steel, circa 1960.

The ‘Mareographe’ was Heuer’s version of the ‘Seafarer’ that was made specifically for Abercrombie & Fitch – the firm’s US retail partner. As specified by the name – ‘marée’ being ‘tide’ in French – the Mareograph was designed for the sailing community and was the first chronograph to have tide level indication for regattas.
