Nice work by Zoran Konjarski of Melbourne’s RMIT with this packaging concept for Saison Beer done as part of his third-year communication design degree.

“My concept to the bottle graphics were to move away from traditional beer graphics, and make the bottle design differentiate in the market by taking on an extreme modern and minimalist design. This almost sterile approach followed through into the packaging of the 2-pack and -pack varieties by packaging the beer in blister packs like pharmaceuticals.”
Via Lovely Package.

I like the blister packaging and the minimal design, but I wonder what’s the point of drinking beer from a syrup (or shampoo) bottle…
I must admit, after posting this it occurred to me that whilst I like the design I am not sure it is appropriate for the product. It’s a little too cold and clinical and doesn’t really suggest loosening up with a few buddies over a couple of beers.
