The Possible Furniture series, from Robert Stadler, features items built from stacking upholstered elements and laquered boards, playing with the perception of balance/unbalance and questioning the designer’s role.
Each different piece of furniture looks like a unlikely random pile, disguising the fact it was actually precisely designed following standard design rules such as ergonomics, stability and use. In this way the designer’s hand is hidden.
